By virtue of being married to one of our founding partners prior to Avant’s formation in 1987, Gordie has been involved in the business since its inception. However, his role and level of involvement has expanded over the years, dramatically so since his semi-retirement from a career in psychology several years ago. He essentially functions as our IT department, keeping our computers and office equipment up to date and running smoothly. He also helps us stay on top of the ever-changing world of technology and advises us regarding the impact this has on our business.

In recent years, he played an integral role in the revamping of our website and he is in charge of keeping the website updated with fresh content. He’s always been interested in computers and technology, but he also loves food, wine, photography and, of course, travel. Some of his favorite places to visit include Italy, California Wine Country, St. John, London and Alaska.
