Time for Toronto – Video
Located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto is Canada’s most populous city and the fourth largest city in North America. Home to 2.8 million residents as well as a popular destination among global tourists, Toronto is generally recognized as one of the most multicultural and cosmopolitan cities in the world, with over 140 languages spoken and some 100 ethnic groups represented. Toronto is a bustling metropolis with a busy stock exchange and the undisputed financial center of Canada. It has been dubbed Hollywood North because of its large film and TV industry and the sheer number of movies filmed in the city. Tourists regularly rub shoulders with celebrities in its boutiques and local cafes, especially during the annual Toronto International Film Festival in September. Toronto also is known for soaring contemporary architecture alongside Victorian and Edwardian gems, museums, performing-arts companies, fine restaurants and relaxed cafes, trendy shopping complexes and a people-friendly waterfront. A perfect choice for a weekend getaway, Toronto truly has something to offer for everyone.
This month’s video share, called Home is Toronto, offers a nostalgic tour of the city meant to show off some of the most iconic locations around downtown Toronto.
