Spring in Sydney – Video
It’s kind of strange to think about. Here we are, kicking off fall in North America while spring is just now blossoming in the “Land Down Under.” Sydney, Australia is a vibrant, cosmopolitan metropolis, yet it also has characteristics of a relaxed and laid-back beachside town. It offers trendsetting international cuisine, stellar architecture, and a spectacular harbor setting. Whether you’re into catching a show at the iconic Opera House, taking in the sun and waves at Bondi Beach, or exploring trendy areas like The Rocks or Darling Harbor, Sydney has something for everyone.
If you ask us, when is the best time to visit Sydney? Our answer undoubtedly would be: “Anytime you have the opportunity to go.” Weather-wise, the city’s year-round warm temperatures would seem to support that answer. But, according to U.S. News and World Report, the best times to visit Sydney are now (September through November) and from March to May (Sydney’s fall). It’s not that the weather is bad at other times, but these months skirt Sydney’s high and low seasons, offering comfortable temperatures, manageable tourist crowds, and more affordable prices.
This month’s video share, created by cinematographer Rod Gotfried (who is a native of Sydney), is called A Sydney Kind of Spring. The video, which was shot entirely in the spring, aims to show its viewers that there’s nothing quite like Sydney in the Spring. It features the beautiful and stirring music of Ryan Taubert. So sit back, relax, and enjoy!
